Be a teacher with values 😇♥️

 The day started with prayer in the chappel.

 The first hour was taken by Maya ma'am. This is our first day after the school induction, so that teachers are waiting to hear our experiences. And Maya ma'am asked to voluntarily come forward to share the experience and Fathima from the Natural science optional has shared her experience from the Sarvodaya ICSE School Nalanchira. Later on Maya ma'am has taught us Educational Sociology, relationship between education and sociology and functions of education.

The second hour was taken by Ancy ma'am. She also asked about the school induction. She taught about Froebel's gifts, occupation, philosophy ,aims of education, curriculum, method of teaching, teaching through play, teaching through play songs, role of the teacher, discipline, principle of freedom, contribution to modern education, criticism of Froebel and his contribution and conclusion. 

During the third and fourth hour, by the incharge of Joju Sir and Maya ma'am, we began a new course for Communicative Language Teaching. The section began with an activity of writing lyrics by hearing anything English song. Then we had watched a video class by Prof. Sumitha Roy. A new knowledge by her is that, do not use myself while introducing ourselfs to others.  Rather use "I am". Then sir called some people to Stage in order to give self introduction and out of the six people, five were from English optional and  the other one is from Mathematics. After that Sir has conducted two tests and the first one is that to correct the spelling of the words and the second is fill in the blanks with go or goes. Before the end of the class Joju sir has given some book suggestions for improving communication skill. 

The sixth and seventh hour is Optional and the last two hours was of Arts and Aeasthetic. And this was the frst Class for this subject and is taken by Lakshmi ma'am. Joju sir has introduced her to us and she began the class by making the clear-cut instructions of how to behave in her class. After that she had divided us into six groups. Then she asked us of who all sings and the people who sings can come to the stage and I too has gone and we all sings and it was a good experience. Finally ma'am said before we leave from the college, she is planning to make an album with us. She sang very well and she has sung Nadan Paatu by involving the whole class. We all had enjoyed her class. 

 

Thus the day ended.

In today's class we had learned about  web 2.0 web 3.0  web 4.0  Computer Assisted Instruction (CAI).   All of them has presented well in a crisp and clear manner.  The second section was taken by Ancy ma'am. And she has taught us about the Contributions of  Mahatma Gandhi.  According to Mahatma Gandhi, " Education is an all round drawing out of the best in child and man-made body, mind and spirit. There are four elements in Gandhi's philosophy, 1. Truth 2. Non-violence 3. Fearlessness 4. Satyagraha. Man is the maker and master of his own destiny

 From 23  February 2021 to 3 March 2021 we the MTTC Hostelers were in Quarantine. So that we can't attend to class and we were in home quarantine  for seven days.     4/3/2021 Thursday After seven days of quarantine, we are back to the college. The day started with prayer in the chappel . First hour was Yoga. Sir has teached us the importance of yoga in the life of an individual. Then after practicing the section, we ended up the yoga section by doing Shavasana. The second hour till afternoon, Demonstration class of our seniors has taken. The class was a new experience for us and we were happy that we all went back to our school days for a while. All of them had taken classes well.  The fifth hour was taken by Maya ma'am. She begun the class by saying that we should learn things from experiences. That is what Pragmatism teach us. Then, we learned the role of teacher, discipline, types and merits of Pragmatism . Then she moved to another school of philosophy, that is Humanism.
