The Aha Experience 😍

 19/2/2021 Friday

The day started with prayer.

The first hour was taken by Maya ma'am. Ma'am has given us an over all idea of how to write an essay  in the examination point of view. And then she taught us the Aims of Education, Harmony and Curriculum of the Realism school of philosophy. She then told that, the key elements of life is the real life experiences of an individual.

The second hour was taken by Archana ma'am. She has revised the last days portions and then taught us the Foundational theories of psychology - Behaviorism,  Cognitive Psychology, Humanistic Psychology and the Gestalt Psychology.

The third and fourth hour was taken by our respected principal Benedict Sir. Sir said that, teaching could create an "Aha Experience" to the learners. Earlier education is considered as a bipolar concept (teacher and student)  and now it is changed to a tripolar concept which includes: teacher, student and society. What is mean by a Stakeholder:-  the one who has a  responsible position in any organizational management can be called as a stakeholder. The most significant stakeholder in education is students. A teacher must always give positive strokes to students. Accept the child as he/she is. Make positive strokes as much as possible. The three stages of life is :-

P: Parenthood
A: Adulthood
C : Childhood
Then sir said us to form three groups according to the first child, middle child and younger child of the family. And he told us to write the positive and negative side of being in that particular position in the family. I belong to the younger child of the family, so I am in the third group. I had a sister and six years back she was called to eternity. Even though in her absence, the way she taken cared of me will last forever in my heart and it will give me inspiration to move forward. when I became a teacher I input all the positive things ( the way they care, love and support) that  my parents and elders showing towards me. Thanks to Almighty for giving me such a nice family🙏.

The fifth and sixth hour was taken by Joju Sir. Sir told us the importance of sitting in the front seats. And he teached us Edgar Dale's Cone of Experience. Dale has introduced the Cone of Experience concept in a textbook on " Audio-Visual Methods in Teaching ".

The seventh hour was given us to discuss about the Club activities. And the eighth hour was Physical Education.

Thus the day ended. Have a beautiful weekend.
